Our Story

When we first arrived here in 1995, we were completely awestruck with the untamed beauty of the place both on land and underwater. That’s when we decided to open our first Diving Centre in 1999 at the beautiful Unawatuna Bay at the south coast of Sri Lanka. We would like to pass on this passion for diving and the marine world to as many people as we can through our fun PADI Diving Courses in Sri Lanka and help you uncover the wonders of the deep blue and the secrets it beholds. After more than 10 years of operations, we opened our next two dive centres in Nilaveli and Uppuveli (Trincomalee) on the east coast offering some of the best east coast diving in Sri Lanka. In 2020 we’ve decided to bring together all diving centres under one name DIVINGURU®, the largest diving centre in Sri Lanka. Both Divinguru Unawatuna and Divinguru Nilaveli have been approved by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority. We are also the first PADI Freediving School in Sri Lanka – your gateway to both east and south coast diving in Sri Lanka.
